Production blog- Editing the shots so far

Image
Welcome back bloggers! So far my partner and I have filmed a decent chunk of our project and I believe it's going quite well. Its been hard to find another date to film since there are a lot of events that are coming up. Like halloween, homecoming, football games. Work also has a big delay of filming since that gives us a time restraint. Anyways, when we have time we have been editing our shots so far and trying to put them as good as we can together so that they turn out the way we want them to. The whole process has been really cool since we can try new things and just see how it looks. Trying new things can really help to set the aesthetic that we are looking for for this music video. Besides the editing we have been trying to come up with new ideas in case we want to change our scenes and film differently than we are now. Trying out the scenes first though helps figure out what we want and what we want to continue with. The whole process is a lot of trial and error and just se

Production blog- Finally filming!

Welcome back bloggers! My partner and I finally filmed some scenes and we got a bunch done. We went to the beach really early in the morning and filed our beach scene. This meant that my partner had to get himself wet by jumping in the ocean. That meant that we only had one shot to get it right. Or I had one shot since I'm the one that's mainly filming. And for the record, I did in fact get the shot in one go. After that we went to get lunch near the park that we were filming at next. After we ate we got there and found a really pretty and perfect open field with some scattered trees to film with. We got some wide angles and panoramic shots and we made it look really cool. We decided that we wanted a lot of editing so we had to film shots in a specific way to do so. We used a stabilizer to do all these to they look really smooth and less shaky. Although a tripod was also used. After that we just had to decide when we were going to film next. We ended up getting the middle of t

Production blog - Finding new editing

Image
Welcome back bloggers! So this time my partner and I have been looking at new editing for the music video. We found a website with a bunch of new ideas to put into our music video. Some with different cuts and scene changes. And some can multiply the people in the scene so that is shows them glitching or disappearing from the scene. We think that will help with the feel of the music video that we are going for. Ours will have the person glitching in and out from the scenes like that are coming in and out of reality. There will also be a lot of music editing and film editing involved so that will use up a lot of time and effort. There will also have to be a lot of research as to how to do these edits. We will mostly film first this sunday at the beach to film a scene that's the easiest. And also the film location is the closest so it is more convenient. What we will also do is film the night scenes probably during school weeks since it's easier and day scenes during weekends. A

Production Blog- Getting started with the music video!

Welcome back bloggers! My partner and I finally planned everything out to possibly start filming. We were going to go this weekend but it rained. So we couldn't use the scenes that we wanted to we decided to postpone the filming until next week. Hopefully the weather is better and the skies are clear so the weather cooperates with the shot that we are going for. Besides the weather we got the storyboard down so we know what we want to do for our video. It's a really cool concept and a lot of editing will be used to make the video look the way we want it to. Not only will there be a lot of editing, but a lot of different angles that will go into the video to give the viewers a different perspective on the idea we are trying to get across. We tried many different songs to see if they would possibly make a better fit on the idea we are going for, but for right now I believe we are sticking with the original. We haven't been able to give this project out full attention due to

Planning for my Music Video

Props- The props planned to be used are; a car, a instant film Polaroid camera, and some household objects like a book and pencil.   Location- The shooting locations that have been decided on for the music video are, the Lauderdale beach, each of our own homes, Birch State Park, and Holiday Park.   Schedule- Since both me and my partner are busy with sports and schoolwork, we have agreed to meet every Saturday starting this October 14 th until the day the music video is to be submitted. As well as meeting every Thursday starting the 12 th until the due date. This way we maximize the time we have available to not only produce a high-quality music video but also tweak and perfect anything we see.   Backup plan- The song of choice was Viva la Vida by Coldplay, if the song is found to not meet the vibe or style, we are trying to achieve with this music video then as a backup the song, Mr. Brightside by the Killers will be used. The story or costumes or anything else, however, will not be
