Final Task- Using the peer review

Image
Welcome back bloggers! Welcome back to today's blog post! Today, we're talking about making some changes to the Final Task based on feedback from a peer review. After reviewing the feedback, we realized that the sequence needed some adjustments to make it better. One important point was about the speed of the scenes. The advice was to slow down between scenes to create more tension and draw in the audience. So, we went back to the sequence, made the transitions smoother, and let important moments linger longer, making the suspense more intense. It was crucial to find the right balance without making the sequence too long. We also looked at the feedback about the titles and how they were placed. We made some changes to make the titles easier to read and put them in better spots. By trying out different styles, we came up with new titles that looked good and fit well in the sequence. Another suggestion was to make sure the story was clear. We spent time reviewing the sequence to

Final task- Peer review

Hello everyone! Welcome back to today's blog! Today's topic is a peer review of my recently completed Final Task. One of my friends took the time to watch and critique it for me. They mentioned that the eerie music and sound effects set a great mood and built suspense. The pacing of the title sequence was a bit rushed and could be improved by slowing down transitions and allowing shots to linger. The use of lighting and shadows added depth to the scenes, but at times it affected the camera focus. The typography for title cards was bold and fitting but could be improved for better readability. The use of other media within the film sequence, like creating an EAS alarm system, was creative and cool. Overall, with some adjustments to pacing, narrative clarity, and visual elements, the sequence could become a truly haunting and memorable opening for a cinematic experience. The choice of soundtrack greatly enhanced the anticipation and should definitely be kept. However, the friend

Production blog- All done!

Welcome back bloggers! We finally finished out filming and editing. All we need to do now is embed and have my partner send me the finished product. I'm not sure how he is going to send it to me since it takes up a lot of storage and is not easy to send. Maybe email or over text. But that still gives the possibility for it to come out blurry which wouldn't be good either. My partner didn't come to school today so I wasn't able to ask him to send it. He also hasn't answered my text or the phone call so I'm not sure why he isn't responding. I would rather get it done today so I don't need to worry about it later. So that I don't forget or not remember to turn it in when I have to. Regardless there is not much left that I need to do besides the CCR and CR. I'm leaving for a flight to portugal soon so I'm also not sure how I'm going to get it done. I might ask to use my moms computer on the flight there to get it done. I'm not sure yet.

Production blog- The obstacles

Welcome back bloggers! So we are for the most part almost done with our film. But there have been some major set backs that I have talked about in the previous blogs. But let me elaborate on it. So the past few weeks, my peers and I have been tasked with studying for the SAT. A nationwide test that determines the college we can get into. It is one of the most important things for us to use to apply for college. So I have been studying like crazy to try and do my best on the test. It consists of math and reading but it's turned into a digital test which I personally am not a fan of. Since it is digital means that it adapts to how you do on the previous parts. Not fun. Besides the test that I have been studying for, I wanted to make time for myself. This included having time to play my sports and not be so focused on school, I need time for me to enjoy myself. But also working on this project too. This project hadn't been so stressful since we planned out when we were doing thin

Production blog- Finishing editing

Image
Welcome back bloggers! We are finally finishing to edit our film and it's coming out great. We put some finishing touches on the tv screen so it looks realistic and how it should. We added an emergency screen but made it brighter so it really popped on camera and you could clearly read and see it. We also enhanced the sound so it would be easier to hear it. After all these edits to film should come out looking nice and ready to go. The clips were really easy to find since, as I said before, we never stopped the camera during the shots since we knew there would be times that we didn't get it right. Doing this helped the storage in our phones not fill up and not let us film any more. We don't need any voice overs so that part isn't necessary. My partner is the one that mainly edits so his software is very prone to crashing. Considering how much data is being used, it's hard to get everything into check. So far though, it hasn't crashed so everything is almost done
